Effective September 2026
Before You Register

By registering for a Legacy Hoops program or submitting payment, you acknowledge that you have reviewed, understood, and agreed to the policies, payment terms, attendance expectations, and program standards listed on this page.

Quick Navigation
Registration No Refunds Packages Cancellations Lateness Athlete Standards Parent Expectations Removal Acknowledgment

Legacy Hoops is committed to providing a structured, professional, competitive, and development-focused environment for every athlete.

Participation requires commitment from the athlete, parent or guardian, and Legacy Hoops coaching staff. These policies apply to Legacy Hoops training programs, camps, clinics, group development, individual training, and other applicable services unless otherwise stated.

01

Registration & Payment

All athletes must be officially registered before participating in a Legacy Hoops program.

Registration is not confirmed until all required registration information and payment have been completed.

Verbal commitments, text messages, direct messages, referrals, or conversations with Legacy Hoops staff do not constitute registration.

Spaces are limited and are reserved on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.

Payment must be received in advance to secure an athlete's training slot or program enrollment. Legacy Hoops does not guarantee or hold unpaid training spaces.

02

Registration, Cancellation & No Refund Policy

All Registrations & Payments Are Final

Legacy Hoops does not issue refunds for missed sessions, scheduling conflicts, withdrawals, unused training sessions, or removal from a program for failure to meet program standards.

Families are responsible for reviewing program schedules, commitments, policies, and athlete availability before registration and payment.

Refunds will not ordinarily be issued because of:

  • Missed practices or training sessions
  • Scheduling conflicts
  • Parent or athlete decisions to withdraw
  • Changes in personal schedules
  • School or AAU conflicts
  • Vacations or travel
  • Transportation difficulties
  • Illness or injury
  • Unused training sessions
  • Late arrivals
  • Failure to attend
  • Failure to comply with program standards
  • Removal from a program for behavioral or policy violations

Registering for a program reserves space that may otherwise have been offered to another athlete.

03

Training Packages

Training packages are purchased for a specific training period and are not open-ended.

For athletes training once per week, the standard cancellation allowance is:

4 Sessions 0 cancellations included
8 Sessions 1 cancellation included
12 Sessions 2 cancellations included

Additional missed sessions may be forfeited.

Packages must be completed within the designated package period. Unused sessions may be forfeited after the package expiration period and do not remain available indefinitely.

Training packages may not be transferred to another athlete or family unless Legacy Hoops provides written approval.

04

Cancellations & Missed Sessions

Legacy Hoops operates using reserved training times. When an athlete is scheduled, that time has been reserved specifically for that athlete and may prevent another athlete from booking.

A missed session does not automatically qualify for a make-up.

Make-up sessions are not guaranteed. When offered, they are based solely on coaching and facility availability.

Repeated cancellations, inconsistent attendance, or failure to communicate may result in the loss of an athlete's regular training slot.

Legacy Hoops reserves the right to discontinue scheduling athletes who are unable to maintain consistent attendance.

05

Late Cancellations

Families should communicate schedule changes as early as possible.

Cancellations made with insufficient notice may result in the session being counted as completed.

Emergency circumstances may be reviewed individually. However, an exception made for one situation does not modify Legacy Hoops policy or guarantee the same exception in the future.

06

Late Arrival

Athletes are expected to arrive on time and prepared to train.

For group programs, camps, and team-development environments, athletes may be instructed to arrive 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Training sessions will not automatically be extended because an athlete arrives late.

Repeated lateness may result in additional accountability measures, reduced participation, loss of training time, or removal from the program.

If an athlete will be late because of an unavoidable circumstance, the family is expected to communicate with Legacy Hoops as early as possible.

07

Program Attendance

Development requires consistency.

Legacy Hoops programs are designed for athletes prepared to train regularly and remain committed to the development process.

Athletes should not register for a program if they already know that they will be unable to consistently attend.

Sporadic participation may affect an athlete's development, role, opportunities, and continued placement within the program.

08

Athlete Standards

Legacy Hoops is a development-first environment.

Details Toughness Togetherness Compete One More

Athletes are expected to:

  • Arrive prepared and ready to work
  • Be coachable
  • Communicate respectfully
  • Compete with consistent effort
  • Support teammates
  • Respond appropriately to correction
  • Maintain productive body language
  • Take accountability for their actions
  • Respect athletes, coaches, staff, and facilities
  • Follow all safety instructions
  • Represent Legacy Hoops appropriately

Legacy Hoops training may be physically and mentally demanding. Athletes should expect to be coached, corrected, challenged, and held accountable.

Being corrected is a normal and necessary part of athletic development.

09

Parent & Guardian Expectations

Parents and guardians play an important role in the athlete's development.

Families are asked to support the learning process by allowing coaches to coach and athletes to experience success, mistakes, correction, competition, and growth.

Concerns should be communicated respectfully and privately.

Instructions regarding drills, lineups, playing decisions, training methodology, athlete roles, or coaching decisions should not be provided to Legacy Hoops coaches during training.

Legacy Hoops welcomes productive communication while maintaining final authority over its curriculum, coaching methods, training environment, and program standards.

10

Respectful Communication

Disrespectful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or disruptive behavior toward athletes, families, coaches, facility employees, or Legacy Hoops staff will not be tolerated.

Legacy Hoops reserves the right to discontinue services when a working relationship becomes disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with the standards of the organization.

Removal for behavioral or policy violations does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund.

11

Coaching & Development Philosophy

Legacy Hoops operates differently from recreational basketball programming.

Our environment is built around:

Develop Compete Prepare Accountability

Athletes may experience challenging practices, conditioning, competitive drills, correction, repetition, basketball-IQ instruction, and performance expectations appropriate to their program.

Legacy Hoops does not guarantee playing time, starting positions, team placement, scholarships, recruiting opportunities, college offers, roster positions, or specific performance outcomes.

Development is a long-term process and results vary by athlete.

12

Injury & Medical Conditions

Parents and guardians are responsible for informing Legacy Hoops of injuries, restrictions, allergies, medical conditions, or other circumstances that may affect an athlete's ability to safely participate.

Athletes should not participate against the advice of a qualified medical professional.

Legacy Hoops may restrict participation when staff reasonably believes continuing activity may create an unnecessary safety risk.

Any requested return-to-play documentation must be provided before participation resumes.

13

Facility Rules

Athletes and families must follow the rules of every facility used by Legacy Hoops.

Participants are responsible for respecting:

  • Basketball courts
  • Gym equipment
  • Locker rooms
  • School property
  • Outdoor facilities
  • Facility employees and security personnel
  • Other facility users

Damage caused intentionally or through inappropriate behavior may become the responsibility of the participant or family involved.

14

Weather, Facility & Program Changes

Occasionally, Legacy Hoops may need to change, postpone, relocate, or cancel a session because of circumstances outside its reasonable control.

  • Severe weather
  • Unsafe air quality
  • Facility or school closures
  • Permit restrictions
  • Building emergencies
  • Unsafe court conditions
  • Government directives
  • Other unexpected circumstances

When Legacy Hoops cancels a session, the organization will determine the appropriate remedy based on the specific program and circumstances.

This may include a rescheduled session, credit, alternate training date, or another reasonable accommodation.

A cancellation initiated by Legacy Hoops is treated differently from a participant voluntarily missing a scheduled session.

15

Program Schedules

Schedules may occasionally change because of gym availability, permits, school activities, tournaments, facility requirements, or other operational circumstances.

Legacy Hoops will make reasonable efforts to communicate material schedule changes.

Families are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and reviewing communications regarding their program.

16

Photos, Video & Social Media

Legacy Hoops may photograph or record training sessions, games, camps, clinics, events, or other program activities for instructional, promotional, archival, website, or social-media purposes when permitted by applicable consent documentation.

Families with questions regarding media participation should contact Legacy Hoops before the athlete participates.

Separate media consent or release documentation remains controlling where applicable.

17

Personal Property

Legacy Hoops is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

Athletes should clearly label basketballs, clothing, water bottles, bags, electronic devices, and other personal property.

18

Recruiting & College Exposure

Legacy Hoops may provide development recommendations, recruiting guidance, film assistance, communication support, introductions, or other recruiting-related assistance when appropriate.

Participation in Legacy Hoops does not guarantee:

  • College recruitment
  • Athletic scholarships
  • Admission to a particular institution
  • Communication from college coaches
  • Playing opportunities
  • Roster placement

Academic performance, athletic ability, character, eligibility requirements, recruiting needs, admissions decisions, and many other factors can affect recruiting outcomes.

19

Scholarships & Financial Assistance

Scholarships and discounted participation are intended to increase access to development opportunities while maintaining Legacy Hoops program standards.

Scholarship athletes remain responsible for:

  • Attendance
  • Punctuality
  • Communication
  • Effort
  • Coachability
  • Character
  • Accountability

Scholarships or discounted participation may be modified or discontinued when an athlete or family repeatedly fails to meet program expectations.

Receiving financial assistance does not eliminate athlete or parent responsibilities.

20

Removal From a Program

Legacy Hoops reserves the right to suspend or remove an athlete or family from a program when necessary to protect the integrity, safety, culture, or operation of the organization.

Reasons may include, but are not limited to:

  • Repeated lateness
  • Excessive absences
  • Failure to communicate
  • Disrespectful behavior
  • Unsafe behavior
  • Bullying
  • Continued disruption
  • Failure to follow coaching instructions
  • Parent or guardian interference
  • Failure to follow facility rules
  • Nonpayment
  • Violation of Legacy Hoops policies
  • Conduct inconsistent with program standards

Removal from a program does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund.

21

Policy Exceptions

Legacy Hoops understands that unusual circumstances may occur.

Any exception made to a policy is considered an individual accommodation and does not modify the underlying policy or create an obligation to provide the same exception in the future.

All exceptions must be approved by Legacy Hoops.

22

Policy Updates

Legacy Hoops reserves the right to update its policies as programs, facilities, schedules, operational requirements, and organizational needs evolve.

The version published on the official Legacy Hoops website represents the current policy unless another written agreement specifically applies to a particular program.

Participant Acknowledgment

Registration Represents Acceptance

By registering, participating, or submitting payment to Legacy Hoops, the athlete and/or parent or legal guardian acknowledges that they have reviewed and agreed to the applicable Legacy Hoops policies, program requirements, payment terms, cancellation terms, and behavioral expectations.
